City Girls For Nationals

Three current Adelaide City FC juniors have been selected to play for South Australia in the upcoming Westfield National Youth Championships for Girls.

Alana Spirou (u15 Black), Chrissie Zikos (u15 Black) and Emily Gale (Reserve Grade) will travel to Coffs Harbor in NSW with the u14 state team for the week long tournament from Monday 10 July to Friday 14 July. The three players will join former Adelaide City girls now playing with FFSA u13 Skillaroos, Mia McGranaghan, Alanah Ursino and Bonnie Dodds.

The National Youth Championships are FFA’s primary national football competition for the 13 and 15 Years Girls.

Hosted by Northern NSW Football, the Westfield National Youth Championships for Girls have been held in Coffs Harbour since 2006, and this year will be played at the C.ex International Stadium.

The Championships are an integral part of the FFA National youth development and identification process providing a showcase for the best 13 and 15 year old girls from all States.

The Championships have in the past and will continue to produce the next generation of players to represent Australian men’s football and offer an outstanding quality of competition.
