Club President Dino D’Ottavi spoke to ACTV about Fred’s appointment and recognised the service of outgoing Chairman Tony Costa.
”On behalf of the Club’s Board I am very pleased to welcome Fred back in an official capacity at City.
As a long time servant of the club he is a football person respected Australia wide and will have an integral role in the next phase of this clubs development.”
In welcoming Fred it would be remise of me not to thank Tony Costa for his tireless work and contribution to City.”
Fred Lenzi also paid tribute to his predecessor, before outlining his mission at the Club as he gets to work immediately.
“It’s a great honour to be invited back to our great club and thank Tony Costa for his dedication as outgoing chairman together with his assistance in the transition.”
“I’m excited to join and lead a young group of enthusiastic committed people. There are many challenges ahead and I ask our members to be patient while we strive to achieve our goals.
In the very near future my ambition is to structure the club with a rejuvenated team of youthful leaders that will maintain the culture and take our successful brand as the best NPL club in Australia into the next decade.”
