After an enthralling PlayStation 4 Women’s National Premier League campaign for both Clubs, the tone has been set for the upcoming Cup Final.
After a dissapointing final round loss, City finished third on the tightly contested league ladder, one point ahead of fourth placed Adelaide University. Adelaide City will now be out to achieve their first win this season over Adelaide University, in the clubs fourth meeting of season 2017.
A win for either side will prepare them greatly ahead next weeks elimination final in which they face off against each other once more this season, as well as adding some silverware to the trophy cabinet for season 2017.
Adelaide City enter their fifth consecutive cup final, being unsuccessful in the previous four attempts. Adelaide University will hope to recreate their last Cup Final appearance back in 2012 where they were victorious over Metro United WFC 2-0.
Both teams enter the match with red hot form with City winning their last 4 out of 5 league matches, only conceding two goals. Adelaide University enter with just as much confidence after winning there last 4 out of 5 matches also, scoring 9 goals in their last two league matches for season 2017.
