Adelaide City’s exciting winger, Mamadi Kamara, has captained Liberia to an impressive tournament victory in the RAA African Nations Cup Adelaide at The Parks Football Centre. Under clear blue skies, the action packed Grand Final saw Liberia defeat Congo Brazzaville 3-0.
Held over the October long weekend, the 2017 RAA African Nations Cup Adelaide, saw more than 450 players representing 16 different countries across the 3 day tournament.
The eagerly anticipated annual event, proudly supported by RAA, was run by Football Federation SA in conjunction with the Office for Recreation and Sport and the African Communities Council.
Group Stage fixtures were played out over the first two days, before Monday featured semi-finals, a women’s exhibition match, 3rd v 4th play-off, culminating in the Grand Final at 4.30pm.
