Adelaide City FC women produced a hard fought team effort to trounce arch rivals Metro United 2-0 at Elite Systems Football Centre last night, and in doing so progress to the FFSA Cup final.
Scoring opened in the 21st minute, Ally Ladas giving City the lead, and with the team able to hang on to the advantage, took a 1-0 scoreline into the break. The second half saw a concerted effort by the Black and White ladies produce another goal, this time Susan Bassett netted on the last minute of normal time.
The full time signal a few minutes later not only confirmed the end of the match but also progression to the FFSA Cup final where they will play Fulham Utd after their 4-2 win over Adelaide University.
