Adelaide City FC has been awarded the NAB Club Recognition Award for February 2016 as part of the NAB Young Footballer of the Year nomination for Stefan Mauk.

Mauk, at 20 years of age, is making a name for himself in the Hyundai A-League as a valuable midfield contributor alongside Marcello Carusca in Adelaide United’s bid for Grand Final victory to add to it’s 2016 Premier’s Plate. He visited his old training grounds at Unley Rd last night, and spent time meeting some of the 400 aspiring youngsters who now train there, providing words of encouragement and support, and inspiring the future of the club.

Throughout each month of the Hyundai A-League season, a FFA Appointed Technical Panel of Football Experts & Media Representatives would come together to discuss and vote on who is determined the monthly nominee of the NAB Young Footballer of the Year. Fan votes now contribute 20% of the final decision. Votes can be submitted at from 5:00pm AEST on Monday, 11 April 2016 and until 11:59pm AEST on Sunday, 24 April 2016.

The NAB Club Recognition Award provides $1000 cash and $1500 in equipment to support further junior development. Adelaide City FC would like to thank National Australia Bank, Adelaide United FC, Stefan Mauk, and all the junior coaches at City who contributed to his development, for making this award possible,
