In a tight contest which moved into extra time before a result was achieved, Adelaide City Reserve Grade has been eliminated from the Playstation 4 National Premier League Final Series.
Bright sunny conditions greeted Adelaide City and Adelaide Comets as they battled it out at Adelaide Shores Football Centre for a place in next weekend’s Grand Final. The two teams finished the regular season in 2nd and 6th position on the ladder respectively, but there was little between the two teams on the day. With scores level at two apiece at the conclusion of fulltime after goals from Talladira and Mori, a further period of play was needed to produce a winner. Comets found the back of the net and were unanswered, the final score resting at 3-2. They will go on to play Croydon Kings in the Grand Final next Saturday, 12 September 2015 at Elite Systems Football Centre.
Adelaide City Reserve Grade played strong all year and despite significant player movement within the group between u18 and 1st Grade, have finished 2nd on the ladder and just missed out on the Grand Final. Importantly the players, coaches and staff have played an important role in developing 1st Grade aspirants and supporting the 1st Grade squad in 2015.
