Adelaide City is delighted to announce the re-signing of Isabel Hodgson for the remainder of the 2019 Women’s National Premier League season.
Hodgson returns for her second season in Black and White, after graduating from East Tennessee State University over in America.
“I came in last year, which was my first year [with City], in-between playing overseas in America for college, so I was only back for a couple of months,” the left winger commented.
“I’ve just graduated so now I’m back for the rest of the season. I’m looking forward to finishing off the season with City this year.”
“[College football] was amazing and I think it was the best decision for me to go over there. It changed me as a player. I think it’s made me a better one but looking forward to being back home and playing on home soil for a little bit, which will be good.”
While Hodgson has spent the last few years overseas, she grew up playing football in the local scene, and even donned the Adelaide United uniform for the W-League between 2013-2015, and most recently for a short stint in the 2018/19 season.
“I played for Fulham United most of my junior years, then played for the NTC state team growing up.”
“Now obviously with Adelaide City, and hopefully for Adelaide United in the following [W-League] season.”
Catch Isabel Hodgson for her first City game of the season in the Cup Round against Metro United Reserves at 7:00pm tonight at Adelaide City Park, Oakden.
